Distance Learning is an approach to education in which a majority of the instruction occurs when the student and instructor are not in the same place. It allows for the adoption of a range of learning strategies in a variety of technology based learning environments such as Interactive TV, online (web-based), and teleconferencing. Interactive TV is a technology-driven means of letting people in different locations simultaneously see and hear each other, working in much the same way they would if they were all in the same room. Interactive TV connects two or more remote locations, letting parties at either end see and hear each other.
